About Me

Well where do I begin? My name is Dawn Pickell, I have been married for 9 years. My husbands name is Doug. We have known each other since junior high, but we didn't really like each other in those days. Funny how time can change things, eveything changed for us in April of 1994. I was working overnights at the hospital, and Doug was working for a local radio station as a D.J., I called the station one night to find out some information about a concert and when I realized it was him, I asked him if he remebered me and he did. After that night we talked everynight for almost 2 months before we even seen each other. Once we saw each other, we knew it was love and the rest is history.

We have 4 children, Layton Douglas is our oldest child, he was born on June 13, 1995, he will be 9. He is all boy, he loves wrestling and video games, he is and always will be momma's boy. Next is Hailey Ann, she is our Angel Baby, Hailey was born on September 18, 1996, she was a wonderful baby, always smiling and never fussy. Hailey was taken from us on November 29, 1996. Our Angel Baby died in her sleep due to SIDS. She is greatly missed every day.

Then after some recovery time and dealing with our loss, we decided it was time to have another child. Our 3rd child is a girl, her name is Madison Rose. She was born on June 6, 1999. She is daddy's princess. She is a very loving child, she enjoys polly pockets and barbies, and also all her baby dolls.

I thought we were done having children after Madison was born, but needless to say, we were not done. Our 4th child was another boy, his name is Dalton Thomas and he is quite the little man. He was born on January 5, 2001. He is a true blessing, he is also the family clown and loves the attention he gets for being the baby of the family. He loves firetrucks, but he's not crazy about santa.
